the 71  lynx front bumper is the same as 70,71 panther ,70,71 puma p/n 106-079 this p/n  changes up to p/n 106-204 and was used on 72,73 lynx , any of these will work.
i have a new old stock 73 lynx that i will let go to a good cause, but i would like the bent one in trade just in case another tree jumps out in front of me. i can have this bumper at princeton if it is needed.   jerry

some info on parts needed. looks like the rear bumper was used on 71 lynx only.71 lynx consul p/n 106-170 sst 106-205 sst 106-565 any of these consuls will work and can be found on 70 puma except 634h& 760 jlo 71,72,73 lynx 71 ext and ext special. the grab handles donot show as production in the parts book.may require a picture to locate as i have seen different ones. the cleats will work from any panther ,puma cheetah and lynx with a full cleat track. there were some cleats that were e lot thicker than others. a measurement on the thickness would help. these cleats may still be available aftermarket.

I like it. It sounds like an alien life form from the planet Sleddripita in a far away galaxy in the starfire quadrant, but aren't all VSledders a little alien................... Thanks again polcat, look forward to shaking your hand.

Polcat dropped off a super nice front bumper today. Wish I would have had a little more time to talk with him but had to run off back to work. Thanks much polcat, we appreciate it.

Hi, I was reading this tread and see you were having a tough time finding the correct clutch. A friend of mine has a 305 Lynx and when we were on a parts finding trip to Mann's snowmobile salvage in Hinkley MN, the owner, Lawrence Mann said he had several of them in stock, NOS no less. That was several years ago, although I am sure he is still in business as I saw him buying up parts at Princeton this past weekend. His number is 320-384-6736, I hope this will help. Good Luck with your project.

Time to get crackin' again on the Kitty. There is a pile of parts in the shop that are begging for some assembly. I think we will do a couple of build dates rather than one. We have all the steel parts painted, the secondary clutch is ready, the track and cleats are in TRF with Ewalk for assembly, the hood and tank are at the body shop for repair and paint, the motor is in Menahga for rebuild, the seat is in NH with Penguin getting recovered and will be returned to MN after A-1, Frank is doing the graphics, and I need to send out some parts for plating. We have a little bit of polishing to do to the tunnel and pan otherwise we could get everything riveted together. How does Oct. 24 sound for a build session? We have goal of test riding around Christmas.

parts needed:
rear bumper
primary clutch (maybe) tried to call Mann's and no answer
hifax
side grab handle (have one and could skip them altogether if need be)
gas cap
wear bars
choke and throttle cables
maybe some stuff I have forgotten

Polecat,

Sounds great on the wear bars and hifax. This is the only picture I have of the handle right now. I do need to post some more pics of the progress we are making. Still thinking of Oct 24 for a build day. This will not be a completion day by any means but get a chunk done. Can't have all the fun in one day right  Grin

The motor is disassembled. Appears to be in good shape. It is standard bore. It will need some rings, points, condenser, carb kit, and fuel pump kit. Calling extpuma. I will PM you with the numbers of everything.

Butch has completed 10 hours of shine time on the tunnel. Your wife could do here makeup by it. We are working on the belly pan that extpuma sent us.
