I made one of those awhile back. Campo came over pissed up and fell into it causing a huge mess.

Use a bigger bucket (55 gallon drum should do the trick) and Doe in heat instead of peanut butter and You will catch that litter critter the next time.

It's been a while for this topic, but I had to bring this up..........was in the sled storage area the other day, and there was this smell ?  I worked my way to the back, and,   what did I find ?  Apperently I forgot about "the wheel-o-death" for the summer, and I think this is some kind of record!!!!   Without counting, no shytt, there had to be at least 20-30 plus dead critters in the bucket !!!! The anti-freeze was black, and they were stacked like cord wood !  best trapping season I've ever had !   dumped the bucket and re-peanut buttered the wheel, new anti freeze, and the hunt is on once again,   might be one of the nastiest things I've seen in a while, but I don't care, cause there not in my sleds!!!!   BAM BAM POW !     >**<  take that mice!

Found some mouse turds on my lawn mower seat today in my garden shed...started the mower and out blew one of the little bastards and his nest building materials out of the exhaust, so I made a replica of Johnny H's 'wheel o death'. Didn't have enough anti freeze left in my jug to barely cover the bottom of the pail....so I used about 4-5 inches of used motor oil instead A#X

I'll give it a couple of days and see how it works.

I have not had nearly as much luck with the bucket-o-death as I have had with regular snap traps. The ones with the large paddle trigger work best.

Nice !  70MF'r !  looks like it will do the trick, it will take them a bit to find it, but it works, the idea behind the anti-freeze is smell, and freezing if it is out side over the winter, but oil is hard to swim in I hear....... 8)
